Name: Meet Me - Ryn
Who is RYN and what makes you the person you are today?
Ryn is a Texas girl living in Los Angeles. She came out here to be closer to the beach and marry Josh Hartnett. Sadly the latter didn't work out, but she has been lucky to found success as a model and actress. What makes her the person she is today is her commitment to her goals and dreams, so Josh Harnett is still on the table!
Who are your influences in real life , and on the app?
My influences include Tina Fey, Cindy Crawford, Michelle O'Bama, and Madam Curie. Very eclectic group I know, but all of these women pushed boundaries, didn't take 'no' for an answer, and found success in their own right. As far as my influences on MeetMe, there are tons of great women to look up to on the app. I always love the streamers that stay very engaged or have themed nights, hard to pick just a few streamers!!
What are your hobbies? What do you like to do outside of the app for fun?
Obviously the world has changed a lot in the last 6 months and my hobbies have really changed too. I find my world is smaller now and I spend a fair amount of my free time gardening, painting, day tripping with my adorable dog, Fiji, and connecting over technology with friends and family. My biggest hobby really is MeetMe though.
You are a model, have you done any acting as well or is it just photograph modeling or both video and photo?
Yes, I’ve been lucky enough to be able to make modeling and acting my bread and butter. I’ve done small e-commerce campaign, to catalogues, to national commercials. I’ve always loved being in front of the camera so I’ve always felt right at home streaming because of that.
I remember when you first started, how has the experience been for you so far?
MeetMe has really been a savior. I started in December when I had some free time off from work. I thought it would be a fun way to kill some time and never thought it would become a passion of mine. I really got involved in the beginning of the year and then as the pandemic hit it became a lifeline for me to connect with the outside world. I have meet some amazing people and have created a family. I am forever grateful to those I have meet and can't wait to expand that family.
If Meet Me were to read these interviews, what would something you would mention to them that you would like changed?
The only thing about streaming in general (not just MeetMe) I wish I could change is how much it costs for viewers to support their streamers. I love that MeetMe offers free gifts and credits for viewing ads, which is more than most apps do. I just know that life is really hard right now and a lot of viewers feel bummed that they can't support their streamer more without opening their wallet.
Are you on any other medium, or other social media other than Meet Me?
I use Instagram the most, not only for work, but to show off my dog. She is the real star of my IG. I recently started an OnlyFans to expand to a different audience with different content. I know OnlyFans has had a salacious reputation, but its really come up as a new medium of social media. I am excited for people to see me and get know different parts of me on different platforms.
Do you have any tips for people who might want to set goals but are struggling on the app.
The greatest tip I have is to just be yourself. I see streamers "preforming" for their audience and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It's hard to pretend for hours to be someone you're not and it comes off really poorly. Just be yourself and the right people will find you.
